ThreeSixFive: The Truth About The Gospel

I saw a video of a prophetic word and one of the things the person said was God is raising up John the Baptist’s. Immediately when God showed me that He also brought to my attention the truth in the gospel.

Today we have it really good. Pastors are popular . Pastors have mega churches. Christianity is “cool.”

When John the Baptist was the on the scene, he preached the word that doesn’t get much likes in today’s culture. He preached a word that would not get a like and subscribe. He preached the truth.

Today, pastors are preaching prosperity, your blessing is coming, telling you to keep it real, we all fall short… which is true but it is not the full gospel of Jesus.

John the Baptist spoke about the coming of Jesus. He spoke about repentance and getting right for the Lord is coming. So when the prophetic word said that He is raising up John the Baptist’s that means a true revival is coming. The truth is coming. The day is coming that Christianity is no longer going to be cool but it is going to offend.

John the Baptist was executed and hated for what he spoke of. He died by guillotine getting his head chopped off . The people wanted his head on a platter.

“Prompted by her mother, she said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.””

Matthew 14:8 NIV

He spoke the truth until the very end and people hated him for it. Jesus spoke the truth until the very end and was hung on a cross. Paul was beat up, hated and likely beheaded for his faith as well.

The TRUE gospel will bring division and disunity but also revival, blessings, and show the true believers.

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’”

Matthew 10:34-36 NIV

I encourage you to read the entire book of Matthew and read into the life of Jesus. He was blunt, ruthless, about His father’s business and about the love for God’s people which is why He was hated. We as christians need to get back to the true gospel and what it says, get back to His principals and stand for God’s kingdom for He is coming for a church without spot of wrinkle. He is coming for a bride that is prepared and has been waiting on Him. Prepare, read, and spend time with the Lord. Do not continue living off of another christian’s revelation.

ThreeSixeFive: Pray for Our Nation

Tonight as we celebrate or mourn our new President, I encourage you to take today’s quiet time and pray for our nation and the new leadership. Though God places all the leaders where they are, or allows them to be there, the leadership we have definitely effects the body of christ.

Whether you believe in red or blue, black or white, we must believe that God is greater than all that, and simply pray for our leaders.

Remember this scripture

Daniel 2:21New International Version

21 He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
    and knowledge to the discerning.

ThreeSixFive: Weary in Well doing?

I have committed to working out daily and I am currently on Day 2 (don’t laugh at me). I’m doing this God has shown me an important lesson:

As we get closer to the end, the harder it becomes.

I’m going through something right now , that I will most likely post about when it’s all over but as I get closer to when it will end, the tests are harder, my patience is wearing thinner, and the frustrations are more.

While I was working out today , the work out started off easy, then as I was getting closer to the end, my muscles were hurting more and more.

Galatians 6:9 Do not grow weary in well doing because in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

So if we don’t give up it will all be worth it !! How true is that when we see people’s results after months and months of working out?! So, how much more can it be true for us as we get through the trials and tribulations?

We come out stronger Christians with stronger relationships with God. We also come out with more faith. Faith grows more over time as we get more mature in Christ.

Romans 1:17 For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed–a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”

Whatever you are going through, if you work for a bad boss, if you are simply worried about tomorrow’s inauguration or if you do not like where you are in life , remember to not grow weary in doing God’s work.

Remember Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

ThreeSixFive: Every Season has an Expiration

Every season has an expiration date.

This season is particularly hard for me because my husband and I chose to take in some family to help them get on their feet. Amongst the family is 4 kids. 3 of them are 3 or under.

Everyday we are exhausted.

I am reminded of 2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit.”

What Paul is saying is that we are being transformed from the glory of the law, which is holy and righteous (Romans 7:12) but also earthly, to the glory of the Gospel, which offers us grace, forgiveness and life. The glory of the Gospel moves us from earthly glory to spiritual glory.

Everything we are going through and this walk with God in general is to help us move from earthly glory to spiritual glory. He is strengthening us while also testing our faith.

You say you trust God? Then trust him to get you through it no matter how long it takes.

You say you love God? So obey Him through what you are going through.

God cannot move you from glory to glory if you cannot pass the tests.

Every season has an expiration date. We have to move from glory to glory and faith to faith. So this too shall pass BUT remember Habakkuk 2:3 If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

Pray through it. Learn through it . Grow through it.

ThreeSixFive: Create a Culture of Prayer

When I was in Bible school , one day in the cafeteria while everyone was eating, playing pool or talking , one of the student fell down and had a seizure.

In this instance, what would be the first thing that you would do?

I’ll tell you the first thing we did was pray . Everyone stopped what they were doing and prayed in tongues or prayed to God to heal him. I am Most grateful for what culture they taught me at Bible school: prayer. Prayer is extremely important. It should be the first thing we do in most situations.

God can do ANYTHING. He can heal a cough just as He can heal cancer. He can pay off a bill just as easily as He can save someone in a car accident. Have more faith in what God can do because He can do it all but it is our faith that moves and allows Hod to move.

Mark 5:34 your faith has healed you.

Pray in tongues and pray as much as you can through all situations whether things are going bad or things are going be well.

Mark 9:28 All things are possible to him who has faith.

If you are struggling and asking how Do you spend time with God? What is spending time with God? I’d like to suggest this:

  1. Pray by giving thanks to God for the day , for the time you have and welcome Him in during this time.
  2. Read the word for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Pray in tongues. (If you have never done that then ask the lord to baptize you in the Holy Spirit.)
  4. Go into time to pray about what you are going through, pray for others.
  5. Repent.

This is what helped me when I first started being intentional about my time with the lord. Every time you go back then you can extend the time or change the order or allow God to lead you in a different direction.

Remember to have faith and remember that prayer is important.

Remeber that when you do not have anything to say when you pray that Jesus taught us how and He told us to say:

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Hail Mary, full of grace.

In that prayer, God teaches us to show adoration, repentance/contrition, thanksgiving, and supplication/humility. I encourage you to use the prayer above as a guide to prayer everyday. Give thanks to God. Glorify God. Repent. Go to Him in humility, and humbly ask Him for His strength, power or healing.
